from 'Quarry'

Your eyes that used to reflect

my fire now cloud with neglect,

but I must shift a weight

of rock quarrying late each night.

Rain falls pregnant with moonlight

and the ravens of hindsight

caw as I chip the stone

I must quarry alone to live.
